Delete Your Account

Permanently remove your LazyParlay account and all associated data

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be immediately and permanently removed from our systems.

How to Delete Your Account

Account deletion must be performed through the LazyParlay mobile app. Follow these steps to permanently delete your account:

  1. Open the LazyParlay mobile app on your iOS or Android device
  2. Navigate to the Dashboard (main screen showing upcoming games)
  3. Tap the Settings icon (⚙️) in the top right corner of the screen
  4. Scroll down to the "Delete Account" section
  5. Read the warning about permanent deletion carefully
  6. Tap the "Delete Account" button
  7. Confirm the deletion in the popup dialog that appears
  8. Your account will be permanently deleted immediately

Note: You must be signed in to your account in the mobile app to delete it. If you're having trouble accessing your account, please contact support.

What Data is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following information is permanently removed from our database:

  • User Profile Information: Your email address, name, username, avatar, and preferred league settings
  • Authentication Data: All active login sessions and authentication tokens
  • Social Account Links: All connections to Google and Apple accounts used for sign-in
  • Account Preferences: Any saved preferences, settings, or customizations
  • Stored Data: Any cached or locally stored user data associated with your account

Due to database cascade deletion rules, when your user account is deleted, all related records (sessions, account links, etc.) are automatically removed as well.

What Data is Kept

The following data may be retained for security, legal compliance, or operational purposes:

  • Server Logs: Anonymized server logs may be retained for security monitoring and legal compliance purposes. These logs do not contain personally identifiable information after account deletion.
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked back to your account may be retained for service improvement purposes.
  • Verification Records: Email verification records that are not directly linked to user accounts may remain in the system.

Data Retention and Deletion Timeline

Immediate Deletion: Account deletion occurs immediately when you confirm the action. There is no grace period or recovery window.

  • Deletion Time: Your account and all associated data are removed from our active database immediately upon confirmation
  • Recovery: Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. You would need to create a new account if you wish to use LazyParlay again in the future
  • Backup Systems: Data may exist in automated backups for a limited time (typically 30 days) before being permanently purged. However, we do not restore deleted accounts from backups

Important Notes

  • Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Please ensure you want to proceed before confirming deletion
  • You must use the mobile app to delete your account. Account deletion is not available through the website
  • After deletion, you will be automatically signed out and redirected to the login screen
  • If you delete your account and later wish to use LazyParlay again, you will need to create a new account and start fresh
